With some exceptions, regular School Board meeting dates are the 2nd and 4th Mondays of the month. Meetings begin at 6:30 pm CST In the Community Room at the District Office (4115 Ambassador Boulevard NW, St. Francis, MN 55070). Meetings are run using Roberts Rules of professional protocol.

Communicating with the School Board

Community members interested in making comments or inquiries to the School Board may do so during the Consideration of Visitors portion of the regular school board meeting.

Consideration of Visitors

• A person wishing to address the School Board must complete a Consideration of Visitors Card. The completed cards are to be given to the Board secretary prior to the meeting. Persons who have completed cards will be heard during “Consideration of Visitors” on the agenda.

• A person may speak for no more than five minutes. The time may be reduced if there are many speakers. The Chairperson may limit time and the number of speakers at his/her discretion.

• The School Board will not act upon a speaker’s topic at that meeting. If requests are made by the speaker, they will be referred to the administration for review and appropriate recommendation.

•  A speaker may not address criticism toward an individual district employee during the Consideration of Visitors. Individual complaints should be handled privately with building administrators, the Superintendent of Schools, or an individual School Board member.

• The School Board Chair shall promptly rule out of order any discussion by any person, including School Board Members, that would violate the provisions of state or federal law, this policy or the statutory rights of privacy of an individual.

Personal attacks by anyone addressing the school board are unacceptable. Persistence in such remarks by an individual shall terminate that person's privilege to address the School Board.

• There will be NO CONSIDERATION OF VISITORS at any Work Session School Board meeting.
