We’re now less than one month away from the referendum for our schools!
On Tuesday, November 7, district residents will be asked to consider two new levies that would provide additional funding to support a strong future for our students, staff and schools.
St. Francis Area Schools is committed to providing residents with the information they need to make an informed decision.
What is being voted on?
Strong Future is the district’s investment plan to grow vocational education and trade programming, expand STEAM programming, provide supplies and materials, enhance technology and recruit and retain staff.
District residents will vote on two ballot questions on November 7 that, if approved, will authorize two new levies to support these investments:
· Question One: A 10-year, $325 per student operating levy that would provide the district with an additional $1.5 million each year.
· Question Two: A 10-year, $880,000 annual capital projects levy.
If approved, a home valued at $375,000 would see an estimated monthly tax increase of $9 for question one and $5 for question two, for a total of $14 per month starting in 2024. Tax impacts are dependent upon property values. To see the estimated tax impact on your property, use our Tax Calculator.
