Three members of the St. Francis High School Boys Track and Field team came away with medals at the Minnesota State High School League Class AA Track and Field State Meet.
Junior Jacob Tilly led the Saints with a fourth-place finish in the long jump. His mark of 21-7 ¼ was a personal best.
Juniors Wyatt Lind and Sam Ruid reached the podium after placing seventh in their respective events. Lind posted a mark of 6-2 in the high jump to match his personal best. Ruid recorded a top throw of 157-1 in the discus, which he posted on his final attempt. Both student-athletes qualified for two events, as Lind participated in the triple jump and Ruid competed in the shot put.
Additionally, senior Evan Peterson participated in the discus and sophomore Charles Narcum competed in the triple jump.
With 12 team points the Saints placed tied for 29th.
For the girls track and field team, eighth-grader Anniston Rolf raced in the 1600m run.
The state meet was June 7-8 at St. Michael-Albertville High School.
